November's End

Sun, Nov 30th 2008 06:57 pm
As November comes to an abrupt end and December rolls in, can't help but get caught up in the festivities. Finals, essays, labs, cramming, the joy! Not to mention the shopping for gifts where needed and the busy moving about to another location for work/school. On top of that, the snow gives it all a calm and peaceful cover.

I'm not usually this bitter when it comes to the year end. Usually I really enjoy the holidays, even if I don't celebrate Christmas. Just can't help but feel somewhat...jolly when it comes to this, especially when walking through a mall and seeing all sorts of sights. But right now it feels different. Perhaps it's just this year when everything just seems to snowball (no pun intended) up to this point and I don't know where to go from here. It's a strange feeling. I almost feel like I'm going through a pre-midlife crisis. Would that make it a start-life crisis? It's a good thing I don't have enough money to blow on an expensive car in bright candy red (F430 =D).

Maybe once school is finished and finals are all done with I'll start to feel different. Got a Whistler trip to look forward to. 26 days are too long to wait for it, though.

"26 days are too long to wait for it," is quite right.
